By Definition "_____ is the new black" is an expression used to indicate the sudden popularity or versatility of an idea at the expense of the popularity of a second idea. This statement is used mostly in the fashion industry to indicate the temporary displacement of black as the colour du jour. But this phrase lends itself to the appropriation, displacement and erasure of Blackness. So this tumblr is a reminder that Black is Black, baby! Stay Beautiful!
